Family, friends and fans-
I will be Live on Indianapolis Fox morning show tomorrow morning at 8:30am. Tomorrow is Wednesday June 2nd. I will be on the show talking about the current and future fundraisers that various businesses and local friends will be having for me and Lara here in Crawfordsville. Fox has been great to me during my time on Idol so I am looking forward to seeing my friends at Fox tomorrow morning. However, this doesn't mean that I like Simon.
If you live in Indiana, be sure to tune in to Fox tomorrow morning around 8:30am.

Luke and Lara,
My husband and I attend CC with your family and our girls pray for you each evening.
We know the Lord has great plans for you both and that in the midst of all that is going on, He will continue to give you opportunities to glorify Him and praise Him. Our middle daughter (age 5) is so certain that God wanted you to be voted off AI so you could tell people about Jesus:)
May the Lord watch over you and give you peace...
Dear Luke,
My family and I live in Zionsville and we will for sure check out Fox on Wednesday. We first heard about you making it to the top 24 on Idol while our kids were having piano lessons from Shane Cope's wife, Carlie. Shane and I have a Crawfordsville area connection since I grew up in Fountain County and attended Fountain Central High School but spent quite a lot of time in Crawfordsville. Shane and I always talked of your performances every week while my kids took their piano lessons. When we found out about your cancer we have kept you in our family's prayers. My husband runs a ministry and knows a few Christian music artist such as Joy Williams, Kevin Max, 2 of the musicians that tour with Jars of Clay and some others as well. I think it is awesome that you are pursuing CCM and we will pray that you are fruitful in this area of your life. If there are any specific prayer requests in regards to your career and your illness, please feel free to share. We would love to help any way we can.
Julie
I think it's wonderful how your community is helping you & Lara. Hopefully, Fox will put this interview online somewhere for those of us who don't live in Indiana to see.
(LOL at your comment about Simon.)
Luke-Keeping you and your family in my prayers this week especially thursday. Stay strong and know there are many, many people out here who care for you and are praying for you to heal. Sincerely-MyTy
Hi Luke, I live in good old Crawfordsville. Love it here! I know your momma from different Bible studies. She's a wonderful woman. You are blessed with such a terrific mom!
Anyway, I just wanted you to know that you are always in my prayers. I was just reading in Jeremiah yesterday and this verse stood out. I immediately thought of you.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV)
I know that being a christian doesn't come with it's trials. And cancer is a huge one. I can't imagine what you are going through. I do know that God loves us more than anybody ever could. Even our own mothers. LOL! It's hard to imagine that much love sometimes.
I've had my own trials and this is something that has helped me tremendously. I hope it is an encouragment to you as well.
There is nothing--no circumstance, no trouble, no testing--that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ right through to me. If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment. But as I refuse to become panicky, as I lift up my eyes to Him and accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart, no sorrow will ever disturb me, no circumstance will cause me to fret, for I shall rest in the joy of what my Lord is--that is the rest of victory!
The part that reads - it has come with a great purpose gets to me everytime. Wow, He chose me!
Okay, I've "talked" alot. I will hush now. :o) We will be watching you in the morning!
In His Love,
Amy Stribling
I'll be looking for it on-line. My thoughts are with you today. Best of luck Luke.
good greetings from Brazil
Found the video! Go to the Fox59 website and underneath the video screen is a list of stories. Luke's story is in the Features tab. (I don't know if links can be posted here, but the address is Fox59 dot com)
Luke, you look & sound great! I can't believe that you're making making an appearance at your fund-raiser so soon after today's chemo! (That makes ME feel tired!) I wish I lived in your area so that I could get some of those milkshakes!

I'm the girl you met at Arni's and Dari-Licious. My family and I bought 7 milkshakes yesterday and donated a lot to you!!I enjoyed watching you on Fox News. We are all praying for you!!!!!!
I am your #1 fan!!!
Love,
Cali Saunders and Reilly Dunham (my friend)
Luke you and your family are in our prayers. My mother in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 non-hodgkins last summer and after 5 aggressive chemo treatments---through much prayer---was in remission and so far is still doing well. Stay encouraged, God Almighty is over all things.
WHEN I SAY "I AM CHRISTIAN" I'M NOT SHOUTING "I AM SAVED" I'M WISPERING, "I GET LOST" THAT IS WHY I CHOSE THIS WAY. WHEN I SAY ..."I AM CHRISTIAN" I DONT SPEAK OF THIS WITH PRIDE. I'M CONFESSING THAT I STUMBLE AND NEED SOMEONE TO BE MY GUIDE. WHEN I SAY..."I AM CHRISTIAN" I'M NOT TRYING TO BE STRONG. I'M PROFESSING THAT I AM WEAK AND PRAY FOR STRENGTH TO CARRY ON. WHEN I SAY..."I AM CHRISTIAN" I'M NOT BRAGGING OF SUCCESS. I'M ADMITTING I HAVE FAILED AND CANNOT EVER PAY THE DEBT. WHEN I SAY..."I AM CHRISTIAN" I'M NOT CLAIMING TO BE PERFECT. MY FLAWS ARE TO VISABLE BUT GOD BELIEVES I'M WORTH IT. WHEN I SAY ..."I AM CHRISTIAN" I STILL FEEL THE STING OF PAIN. I HAVE MY SHARE OF HEARTACHES WHICH IS WHY I SEEK HIS NAME. WHEN I SAY..."I AM CHRISTIAN" I DO NOT WISH TO JUDGE. I HAVE NO AUTHORITY, I ONLY KNOW I'M LOVED. -AUTHOR UNKNOWN
Hey Luke,
In your Fox interview, you seemed perplexed about receiving more e-mails now than when you were on Idol. Just think of it as one big (occasionally disfunctional) Idol fandom family banding together to support one of their own when they need it the most.
I don't know if you're aware of all of the comments made to the news stories, or the posts on the message boards, from people expressing their thoughts & prayers for you since news of your diagnosis was released.
You've got a lot of support out there, Luke, even from people who have never seen the show. And, you've been such an positive inspiration, even before you got sick.
You keep up the fight, and we'll keep sending you the good vibes. :-)
