I had my 3 month follow-up with my Ocologist. The check up went well and my doctor and my chemo nurse agreed to let me take a photo with them to post on this blog. The first picture is of Terri, my chemo nurse. She is the one that stuck the needles in me and pushed in the chemo that saved my life. And she watched me vomit way too many times.
The second picture is of my family doctor Dr. Williams and his family at his house.
The last picture is of my oncologist Dr. Schultz, Lara and I. Dr. Schultz has never had a patient with Hodgkins Lymphoma have a relapse with Hodgkins. He said today that I can't be his first. I said it's a deal.

Thank you for letting us travel this road with you! You are an inspiration. I'm so glad everything is looking up...GOD IS GOOD!!!
Thanks for introducing us to your Team. May God bless them for all the wonderful work that they do. I've known many people who work in health care and have found that those who work with cancer patients are a rare breed.
Glad your appointment went well. Did you have any scans, or was this just a general follow-up?
Anyway, I hope you, and the rest of C6, have safe travels & great shows over this next week.

Hey Luke,
How did I know your follow up visit would go so well? That's really sweet of you to share pictures of some of the folks who helped treat you. You know, I think you just might be the first Idol alumnus to manage to incorporate a discussion about vomitting in his blog. Originiality - I like that in an Idol! So here's wishing you and Lara a long healthy, puke-free career ahead. Oh yeah, now that you've gotten some of us old dogs to join facebook, I'm counting on you for a tutorial on poking, tapping, wall-to-wall comments and writing on walls. I have no clue what any of these features are. Do you? ciao for now.
Hi Luke,
Thanks for sharing those pictures of the doctors, they truly were used by God to be helpful for you. Have a wonderful weekend.
nice photos with all the important people. i do hope you doing well over there. get well soon.
p/s you do look healthy although you are not doing well. that's a good thing :) smile more, that is the cure :)
The doctors may be the heroes, but the nurses are the angels. They deal with a lot more -- stuff -- than the docs do. LOL.
You look great, Luke!

As a "grandma" type and four-time cancer survivor I send you best wishes. I've been told I have an angel on my shoulder who is keeping me safe. If that is true, I'll lend him to you.

Hey Luke!
It's Mandisa. Strange thing. I just got home from a show and was catching up on my Tivo. I was watching "Lost" and during the opening credits there was an actor named Marc Menard. It made me think of you so I paused my Tivo and began praying for you. I prayed for your health: mind, body, and soul. Then I prayed that God would use this test to give you an extremely powerful testimony that would encourage others going through difficult times. Then it occurred to me that I might be able to find out how you are on the internet! Don't you just love technology!?! Glad I found this blog. Know that I'll be coming by often to check on you and pray for you. I was also happy to read that you are working with Jamie Moore and Sam Mizell. Jamie wrote on my first album and Sam has written on both of my albums! Both are incredibly gifted! You're in great hands there! Anyways, God bless you my brother! You are in my prayers!
Mandisa

those who traveled with you.
peace.
