The day before the storm

Today is the day before my second treatment. If it is anything like the first then I can expect to sleep all weekend and then by Monday I will bounce back and be ready to go again. I just completed a workout in the gym and I hope by Monday or Tuesday I will be back in the gym. Like music, working out gives me a chance to escape my every day thoughts of having cancer. Cancer and chemo treatment can make you feel trapped. But with Christ, music and working out I have a way to escape.
I will give an update soon on how my second treatment goes. After tomorrow I will have 2 down and 10 to go.
thanks for reading.

Luke,
I'm a MJ/DC Cougar fan, and you were also one of my favs. I'm praying for you during this time. You have such a great outlook, and you will probably touch a lot of people with your positive attitude and your close relationship with God. I'm a preacher's wife and sometimes I find myself questioning God on why things happen to certain people and not others. I don't have answers, but I just have to keep my faith in Him. My dad was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma five years ago and after treatments, he's cancer free. He joined the YMCA and has never felt better in his life (He's 74). Just keep your faith in God and your focus on music. I'm excited that you are leaning towards making a Christian record!! Just remember there are people all over the country praying for you!

*hug*

Keep going.

I heard once that, before we have a testimony, we always have a test and generally a bit of moaning.

I am believing that you will be a testimony of God's power to work everything out together for good!

I can't wait to hear your new songs!

Hi Luke,

I am a nurse and I'm sending good thoughts and prayers for you. Your blog is inspirational. I'm so glad you are with your family. You can also persue that soap opera thing later, as I can sure see you in a starring role. I loved you on American Idol and felt you should've made it to the top 10 for sure! Looking forward to hearing more of your music!

Luke-
I heard about your situation through Jason Castro's website, daydreamingboy.com. and want you to know you are definitely in prayers over there. Also I am from close to Eureka, Illinois and my husband is from Indiana so we were big fans of yours while you were on the show. I was so sorry to hear about your illness. We went through a similiar situation with my mom so I know all about chemo, steroids etc... It takes a very brave soul to face what you are dealing with but you seem like a person of such strong faith/ positivity and those are the qualities that will get you through this. Please know I am praying for you and your family at this time. Take care of yourself and I am sending a gas card your way today. God Bless -Myty
