5 strong years

I am excited to say that today is our 5th year wedding anniversary. Lara and I were married on August 2nd and we are happier than ever.
I can't wait till tomorrow because today and last night have been the toughest on me physically. I usually feel more like myself by day 4 after chemo. Today is day 3 and the hardest to get through.
Tomorrow we will drive to Branson, MO where we will spend a week with the Menards and have a week long family reunion.
Keeping my mind on Branson has helped me push through this chemo treatment.
If I am lucky this week maybe I will run into Andy Williams, Jim Stafford, Mickey Gilley and also ride the ducks. Ha-ha.
I will be tearing up Table Rock Lake on the skiis for sure.

Happy anniversary! My husband and I love Branson, too, and that's actually where we first saw you and Chapter 6. We came to one of your shows at SDC. We have been big fans ever since. We're planning on a trip at the end of the month. While we don't ski on Table Rock, we usually do go out on a boat and fish.

Praise the Lord that the chemo is working. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Keep telling yourself how much that chemo is working! (I know, it's not easy when ya feel like crud.)

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow. Otherwise have someone else do the driving and catch some more Zs during the trip.

Here's to safe travels! Have fun!

And, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Hey Luke, been gone to asia, glad to be back and see good news from you. Happy anniversary and happy news about the progress of your treatment! I hope your time away is refreshing and relaxing for both your body and spirit. You're in my daily prayers. The One who made you has some big plans, I am sure, for your future, and is well able to accomplish them. (especially since you're actively cooperating. Not everybody does ;-)

Consider all these comments as cyber-hugs from friends (known to you and unknown) who wish you well and look forward to following your career in the years to come.

Congrats on the anniversary and on the great medical news. Was out of town for 2 weeks, Asia, bad internet access -- happy to get back here and see this.

You're in my daily prayers. I know the One who made you is well able to heal you and accomplish His plans for your life -- especially since you're cooperating. (Not everybody chooses to do that ;-)

Hang in there brother. Enjoy all these cyber-hugs of support. This too shall pass. Hope Branson is a blessing for both your body and your soul. Go safely. Take it easy on those skis, man. :-)
