Pay Pal, David Cook and Michael Johns

Pay pal information is: lukeandrewmenard@gmail.com

A few days ago I received a call from David Cook and Michael Johns. They said they held up signs at a recent concert that said "Give back to Luke Menard." I was very surprised and pleased that they are so willing to help out. They seemed more excited on the phone that they were going to really make a difference. Michael Johns said, "Man, you need to set up a paypal account now!" He said that several of their fans were asking how to donate to us and that they were all asking for this info. Well....here it is. lukeandrewmenard@gmail.com
I am now in Illinois finishing up recording part of an album for Chapter 6 before they get back ont he road and before I start round 7 of chemo. After I recover from this chemo my wife and I are going to fly to L.A. where my car is still located. We are then going to drive the car back to Indiana with a stop at the Grand Canyon. Can't wait to see God's beauty and can't wait to have a nice peaceful drive with my wife across the country.
I will try to post a few blogs while on the road. And I still don't know how to post pictures on here but I will try to figure that out soon so I can start showing pictures on here.
Once again, thanks to everyone that reads this for your support. Your encouragement really does help pull me through the tough days of recovering from chemo. Back to the studio.

Hi, Luke. You were one of my top 3 on AI and went home WAAAAAY too soon. Love your voice!

Cancer is a scourge in my family, and I am delighted to be able to do any small thing to help. Glad you have terrific friends and wife and family around you -- makes a huge difference.

Cheers, and good luck with the rest of the treatments. Big thanks to DC and MJ for encouraging you to set up a Paypal account. : )

Praying for you on chemo day, brother... that the process and the recovery will not be too awful, and the thoughts of all the good things to come for you, and the knowledge that so many are out here praying and wanting to contribute, will lift you up during this time of stress.

In our weakness we find His strength, and in our darkness sings a perpetual alleluia. I pray you will hear it, today and every day...

Whatever the "Mavid" wants, the "Mavid" gets ;)

They are great guys and so are you. All of DC and MJ's fans are yours as well and we are all happy to help out in any way we can. Thank you for setting up the account to assist us in our efforts to GIVE BACK.

Hang in there, get better soon, enjoy your Road Trip and get that album out as soon as you're able, so we can hear more of that beautiful voice of yours!

*hugs*

Hey there Luke!

I understand you had round 7 of chemo today, and I hope that went well, and that the after effects won't be too bad.
Here's a little something to cheer you up. Us at the Word Nerd Home, through an organization called Cooked For Charity, have collected almost $1300 to date for you through donations and bracelet sales . $500 of that is on it's way to your P.O. Box, the rest will be transferred to your paypal account over the weekend. We're trying to do this in $500 increments instead of little bits and pieces here and there.

Hope you're doing OK, and that you get to enjoy your road trip.

You and your family is in our thoughts and prayers every day.

Hugs

Viv

I see how it is, I ask for paypal, and I get nothing, David Cook asks for paypal, and voila`...instant paypal, hmmph! Just kidding, I'm just glad it's up and I'll post it with the dreadheads and on my blog as well.

As far as posting pictures...when you are writing your post, look at the icons above the text box. One of them is a picture...it's right next to the one that looks like a filmstrip. Click on that, browse for the picture you want to post on your computer, select it, choose the size and location you want it to appear in your post, click on "upload photos" and when it is uploaded, it will tell you so. The pictures always show up at the top of the text, but you can move them around once they are loaded. If you type in "compose" mode, you will see the actual picture in your draft. If you type in "html" mode, you will see the code for your picture.

Now, let's see some Grand Canyon pictures, 'kay?

I hope you aren't feeling too lousy from the chemo by the way...we're all praying for you!

Hey Luke,

I just read about your situation, and stopped by to wish all the good. I have to say you dropped far too early on AI, because you have the one of the clearest tenors I've heard on the show and lots of charisma and looks too (as a male I pay more attention to the singing lol:))

I'm from Europe and PayPal doesn't work in my country, but seeing the feedback I think the U.S fans are there to help you!

Wishing you all the best,

Marko

Still prayin' for ya, Luke. Stay strong! I hope you have a wonderful trip back home from LA.

Speaking of driving, Drew now has his license. Oy, that makes me old. :-D

Good news about the paypal account too. We've been wanting to do something for you!

(((hugs))) from the Ellerbrocks!

Luke,

Good luck. I am a Hodgkins patient myself. Remember, don't look so much AT the situation as being bad, rather, look at all of what God is doing in your life AND others through this because there is a purpose greater than us.

Luke, Lara and family,

Couldn't be more pleased to read on July 30 the mass is shrinking. Hopefully with support from the AI7 Tour more help is on the way. On August 27, VFTW posted a front page appeal calling on folks to help you with the medical bills. Thank you for the Paypal link. Donation appeals are now on many fan sites of the Idols. You are in good company. God Bless and all the rest is up to you.

Hi Luke,

I am a teenager, with no job, therefore I lack the money to donate.

But, I do have a few celebrity autographs, so I had my Mom put up a listing on eBay for me. I am selling an autographed Jesse McCartney CD, and all the money I get from selling it, I'm donating it to you.

Best of luck to you, Luke. I had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma State III and have been in total remission for over 2 years now! Here's a great hint for you during chemo: If you feel like you are getting mouth sores, suck on the Ricola Original Herb drops. They prevent sores. Again, good luck.
