it's cold and nasty

I spent most of my winter last year in LA and this weather is just not fun. I checked the temp. in LA and it's 80 degrees and sunny all week.
I am just finishing up a short tour with Chapter 6 in Michigan. I think most of the schools around here are cancelled today because it's so cold. We will be performing at Western Michigan University tonight and it should be a good time. Hopefully the weather will not keep away the fans at our concert tonight.

I'm afraid my fair state has not been very hospitable weather-wise. I agree - it's cold & nasty here. Miserable even by Michigan Winter standards. I saw an article that said that Flint (where you guys were a couple of days ago) broke a 95 year old record yesterday for cold temps.

You should get a good college crowd tonight. Unfortunately, I have not been able to attend any of these shows. :-( I'll have to catch you on your next MI tour. (How about in the summer!)

I've included you guys in my prayers for safe travels. Be careful out on those snow covered roads.

have a great concert! I'm telling you, you guys should come out to San Francisco... temperate all the time. and foggy, but better than your bitter cold over there!

Go safely, man -- it was 11 below here in chicago last night (temp, nt wind chill). But Jon Foreman (switchfoot) and Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek) did a show of their new duo act, Fiction Family, at a local small venue and there were 200 people there --which proves people will come out if they want to hear music, cold or no cold.

I'm thrilled you have the energy to be touring.... this is GREAT.

you remain in my daily prayers. stay strong, body/mind/spirit...

Just remember this, Luke ... in the summer, LA will be 110 degrees, while the midwest will be a pleasant 85.

Hi Luke, I know what it's like with the cold weather. It was 17 below actual temperature here in my part of Iowa the last 2 mornings, the high today only 12 which is an "improvement" over -4 like we had yesterday. Stay warm and safe Luke. I still the midwest is better in summer than anywhere else :) And spring and fall too. The winters are a drag. God bless.

My thermometer right now says three degrees here in Pennsylvania, and the low is listed as negative three, so I can totally relate. =[

Be safe in the weather, and drink lots of hot chocolate, hot tea, coffee, whatever your choice of beverage is. And have fun, most of all!

Best of everything!

just noticed at the C6 website there's a show in Lincolnshire on 1/31 -- that's a drive but it could be managed -- daughter Alice wonders if you'll be there? Told her I'd ask...
