EXTRA

Today I will be filming with EXTRA television show. They have asked to do an exclusive interview with me today and follow me around to experience what a typical day is like for me. I have tried as much as I can to stay away from media at this point in my life. However, the producer pitched the possible story to me in a pretty cool way. They want this to be an inspiration to other cancer survivors. I have agreed to participate.
The story will be a positive cancer survivor story and will show how I am continuing on with my life and how I am not letting cancer ruin my life.
We will film at my house, at the hospital where I have my blood taken as well as at the gym that I work out at on a regular basis.
As soon as I know when the story will be aired on EXTRA I will post a message so you can't miss it on TV.
The crew is here now.

Your story does deserve to be told. that must be a blast filming today with a crew from EXTRA. but i am sure you are used to that since being on American Idol. Let us know when it will air. Many of us will be watching.

You already are an inspiration to those of us who know of you. It's good for others to hear it as well. Good for you.

We'll be praying for you today, specifically that nothing will be twisted or made to look bad. We know your goal is to glorify God, and we'll pray that the crew of EXTRA will allow that to shine through!

Hi Luke, I pray it goes well and that the crew sees the glory of God shining through you. God bless you Luke.

Looking forward to it, Luke. Hopefully they'll keep their word and tell your story the way you want it to be told. (Psst - See if you can get final approval on the feature!)

Good luck with tomorrow's chemo. (It is tomorrow, right?)

Wow, Luke -- so many GOOD things happening in your life -- the writing, the media -- I can't wait to see what God's got planned for you.

It's wonderful that you still have energy and enthusiasm because I know the treatment is no piece of cake.

You're in my daily prayers for healing, and that the presence of our Lord will be always close, a source of comfort and inspiration

Luke! According to a comment in your Idol Tour posting, EXTRA is starting to air your story!

However, it hasn't aired yet in my neck of the woods (Detroit), but tomorrow's show (July 25) states that there will be an "American Idol Update", so that could be it. Hope they gave you some advanced notice and you haven't missed it in Indiana.

It might end up on their website, but if not give a shout if you need a copy.

Luke...I was just watching the tv show 'EXTRA' a few minutes ago and learned of your profession of faith and of your dealing with cancer. I could'nt help but think and pray for you and my son. He is 36, a new father and a professor at a small christian college outside of Little Rock and is about to start round 2 of chemo for the rare Burkitts form of cancer. I guess I'm writing for two reasons. First to affirm to you that God is sovereign, in control, and will use you to draw many to Him because of how you will(and have) testified to His glory. Secondly, I sense in my heart that each of you would benefit from encouraging each other through your blog sites. When you have a moment, I invite you to http://newunderthesun.blogspot.com/
thanks for giving our family (including a young grandchild or two) the pleasure of your voice and testimony. We are fans in more ways than one. Blessings to you and your family. Aarons dad.

OK, it looks like the last part of that web address didn't print. After Luke's name it should read:
